It has been a very busy December and I think we are all excited to celebrate with our friends and families. La Flor Foods began making high quality corn and flour products in 1991 when Sigifredo Lopez found himself unable to purchase tortillas at a local Salt Lake market. He purchased a tortilla-making machine and started selling tortillas door to door and local Mexican grocery stores. By the end of its first year, they expanded to grocery chains like Macy’s and Ream’s. Now they supply tortillas to over 100 restaurants and distributors such as Associated Foods, Sysco, US Foods, Nicholas, and Kroger.
