Nominations now being accepted for the 2025 Coolest Thing Made in Utah

Salt Lake City, Utah — September 15, 2025 — The Utah Manufacturers Association (UMA) announced today that nominations are open for the 2025 Coolest Thing Made in Utah competition. 

The competition, coming back after a brief hiatus, will lead into the celebration of National Manufacturing Month in October. Sixteen products will be chosen from companies across the state and voted on through a bracket-style competition that ultimately crowns one product, the 2025 Coolest Thing Made in Utah

“Utah makes some incredibly useful things from consumer goods, to electronics, to large scale industrial equipment. Join us as we spotlight our home-grown innovations that benefit the lives of Utahns and the world!” said Johnny Ferry, President/CEO of UMA.

Nominations are open through the month of September followed by voting in October. Voting is open to the public and all Utahns are invited to vote for their favorite product to advance it to the next round. The winner of the 2025 Coolest Thing Made in Utah will be announced at the UMA’s Annual Awards Gala on November 7th at the Utah State Fairgrounds Grand Building. The competition spotlights Utah’s dynamic manufacturing industry and brings together students, educators, community leaders and manufacturers to celebrate the 100,000+ Utahns working in manufacturing every day.
