Eligibility & Requirements

Eligibility

  • Any Utah manufacturing or distribution company is eligible to nominate an individual for this award.
  • Their company does not have to be a Utah Manufacturers Association (UMA) partner or headquartered in Utah.
  • There is no entry fee required for this award.
  • Self-nominations are strongly encouraged. 
  • All nominations must be submitted electronically through the UMA website.
  • Judges and sponsors will use information in the application submitted for press releases about the award recipients.
  • The award winners will be notified before being announced at the MFG Safety Awards Expo+Conference during lunch on February 22, 2024.
  • All Award-winning companies will be allowed one attendee to the award lunch (lunch is included for all attendees).
  • Please email the awards coordinator with submission questions or concerns at joshua@manufacturingutah.com.  

Requirements

  • If you know someone who exemplifies safety within their organization, and deserves recognition for their leadership in safety and performance practices, enhancing aspects such as leadership, communication, and teamwork, we encourage you to nominate them for the UMA Safety Leader of the Year Award.
  • Nominies must work for a  manufacturing companies with operations in Utah.
  • Nominations will close January 22, 2024.

Application Submission Information

  • Nominations must include detailed information and will be judged based on the answers listed below.
  • Please answer all online questions in full.
  • Judges rank criteria with relevance to each applicant.
  • Judges are in no way influenced by the level of membership or investment status with the association.
  • IMPORTANT: The maximum file size for uploading documents or images is 2 megabytes per file. Acceptable formats are PDF, DOC, DOCX, JPG, JPEG, PNG, and GIF.
