The Utah Manufacturers Association was recently recognized as one of the 100 Companies Championing Women by Inspire in Utah. This initiative was created to recognize and highlight the stories of 100 Utah companies and organizations that offer family-friendly policies and practices, as well as women-specific initiatives known to impact the recruiting, hiring, retaining, and advancing women employees, managers, and leaders.
UMA has women in a variety of roles within the organization and works closely with our partners to elevate women in manufacturing. Through leadership training, women focused grants and career development.
President/CEO Todd Bingham said “What an honor for our team at the Utah Manufacturers Association to be recognized as one of the top 100 companies championing women.
As an organization, we as a team have worked diligently to promote and champion women in manufacturing, not only as an industry, but also as our own association and team.
I am honored to have such an amazing team of women to work with who daily demonstrate their amazing abilities and qualities that make our association and the manufacturing industry an incredible place for everyone, especially women.”
The women within UMA had this to say about working for the company.
“Thanks to the leadership of our male ally Todd Bingham and the environment to empower women. It has been truly my pleasure to work with this amazing team.” – Dr. Tulinda Larsen, Senior Advisor
Megan Ware, VP of Member Affairs said, “Working for the Utah Manufacturers Association (UMA) has allowed me to grow professionally in ways I never imagined. For the first time in my career, I feel truly empowered and celebrated for the qualities that make me unique as a woman. UMA has fostered an environment where women are recognized, valued, and encouraged to thrive in their careers, even in an industry that has traditionally been male-dominated.
I am immensely proud to be part of an organization committed to not only acknowledging the contributions of women but actively supporting their growth and development. UMA’s commitment to inclusion and progress serves as a powerful example for the entire manufacturing community, demonstrating that diverse perspectives only strengthen our industry.
I look forward to continuing my journey here, knowing that I am supported by an organization that champions innovation, inclusivity, and the advancement of all its members.”
“I love working at UMA! I am part of the Executive Team and am so proud of the work we do. Our boss is incredibly supportive of women and has encouraged me to speak up and contribute across all parts of the organization. I am so grateful to work here – We have a fantastic team!” – Robin Patfield, VP of Operations
“I am so fortunate to work for UMA. One thing that drew me to working with UMA was their family first outlook. They really practice what they preach and allow me the flexibility in my schedule to be a mom first. Having a young child creates a hectic schedule and having the option to be there for preschool runs, classes, and other various things that pops up allows me to thrive in my position. I am excited to grow within my role and know I have their support.” – Jenn Sparks, Marketing Manager
We are proud to share this honor with the all the other companies who are championing women.
