After much consideration the UMA Safety Luncheon has been rescheduled to June 17, 2025! This decision was carefully considered, and we believe it will enhance the overall experience for all attendees.
One of the main reasons for this change is to align with National Safety Month, which takes place in June. By hosting the luncheon during this month, we can further emphasize the importance of safety in our industry. It just makes perfect sense!
Moreover, we are excited to introduce our new Director of Health and Safety, Jake Rukavina. Jake brings with him a wealth of experience, boasting over 20 years in the field. He has a proven track record of developing, standardizing, and optimizing high-functioning HSE programs. While we were sad to see Josh Davis go, we are excited for him to start his new journey.
Additionally, postponing the event until after the 2025 Utah Legislative Session allows us to provide you with the most up-to-date information on new safety laws and regulations. This means that our panelists will have ample time to research and discuss the future of health and safety in our industry. We cannot wait to hear their insights!
We understand that some of you may have already submitted entries for the 2025 Safety Awards or purchased tickets. Great news, your submissions remain valid and will be considered for the rescheduled luncheon. We greatly appreciate your support and look forward to showcasing the outstanding work and achievements of our industry’s safety leaders. A bonus for others this means the deadline has been extended to May 1, 2025 so be sure to nominate your company and safety leaders.
Thank you for your understanding and continued dedication to safety. We are truly excited about the upcoming UMA Safety Luncheon on June 17, 2025. Mark your calendars and get ready for an enriching and enlightening event that will shape the future of health and safety in our industry. Stay tuned for more updates and announcements as we prepare for this momentous occasion! If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Jake Rukavina and we will see you June 17.
