Utah Manufacturers Association’s Lace Up & LEAD | Women in Manufacturing Conference Brings Two of Utah’s Leading Ladies as Keynote Speakers

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Manufacturers Association (UMA) will host Lace Up & LEAD | Women in Manufacturing, a one‑day conference dedicated to advancing and empowering women across Utah’s manufacturing sector, on Tuesday, March 24 at the Zions Technology Campus.
The conference will feature two dynamic keynote speakers: Utah’s First Lady Abby Cox and Kari Kovar, President and CEO of Cottonwood Millwork + Cabinets + Metalwork. First Lady Abby Cox, who became Utah’s first lady in January 2021, is a vocal proponent of “getting proximate”, connecting across differences, sharing stories, and strengthening community. The conference will also feature Kari Kovar who brings hands‑on leadership and industry expertise as a manufacturing executive, culture building, and a strong advocate for workforce development.
Attendees will take part in three breakout sessions addressing topics such as imposter syndrome, personal finance, resume writing, intergenerational workforce, and more. The conference also features an engaging women’s panel, professional headshots, and catered breakfast and lunch to encourage networking and peer connection.
