Workplace Stress and Violence Safety Training

Event Date: 07/12/2022
Numerous studies show that conditions at the workplace are a major source of stress for American adults and that it has escalated progressively over the past few decades. Increased levels of job stress contribute to billions of dollars in loss of productivity and increased medical costs for work-related injuries. Work stress also contributes to a host of physical and mental disorders including increased rates of heart attack, hypertension, depression, anxiety, violence, and suicide. Students will learn work organization interventions to promote safe and healthy working conditions and will be able to identify risk factors and behaviors which contribute to work-related stress and violence.
