Electrical Safety

This training covers OSHA requirements for CFR section 1910, Subpart S, Electrical Standards (29 CFR 1910.301 – 1910.399). Instruction is designed to familiarize employees with the basic OSHA requirements of electrical safety.

Course topics include:
– Hazards associated with electrical installations and equipment
– Electrical shock, Arc-Flash & Arc-Blast
– Lockout/Tagout
– Cord and plug connected and fixed equipment
– Importance of grounding systems and the use of ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCI)
– Electrical safety-related work practices
– Electrical hazard recognition and hazard abatement
– The Severity of electrical injuries: examples and case studies
