The Utah Manufacturer’s Association hosts an Annual Awards Banquet to recognize outstanding achievements in the industry. Awards are divided into categories based on company size, ensuring that all organizations have a fair chance at being recognized. Eligibility requirements and further information about the awards can be found along with the application, which includes specific due dates. The UMA encourages companies to nominate themselves for these prestigious accolades, providing a valuable opportunity to showcase their exceptional contributions to the public.

Company Size Based on 4 Categories

  • Small (1 – 99 employees)
  • Medium (100 – 249 employees)
  • Large (250 – 499 employees)
  • Mega (500+ employees)

Manufacturer of the Year (MOTY)

(Based on 4 company sizes)

Manufacturing is not short of great examples of excellence, and we know organizations of all shapes and sizes achieve success. All manufacturers in Utah are encouraged to apply.

Your company does not need to be headquartered in Utah. Any person or group can submit nominations, and self-nominations are encouraged.

We encourage your participation and look forward to honoring the tremendous efforts made by outstanding manufacturing companies in the State of Utah.

Manufacturing Company Culture

(Based on 4 company sizes) 

The Best Company Culture award recognizes companies that have created a culture where employees feel valued, are passionate about the company’s mission, and are confident in their role in fulfilling the company mission. Company culture is the shared values, attributes, and characteristics of an organization.

A company’s culture may be expressly and deliberately cultivated, or it may simply result from the accumulation of decisions made over time. With a strong company culture, employees understand the expected outcomes and behaviors and act accordingly.

Does your company have an amazing company culture?  Why?  What makes it so great?  How does it benefit the employees within the company?  Nominate your company today for the Company Culture Award.

Manufacturing Leader of the Year Award

(Based on 4 company sizes)

The Manufacturing Leader of the Year inspires others to work collaboratively and creatively. Demonstrates initiative. Promotes a work environment that is respectful, collegial, and supportive. Is an example of living and promoting strong company culture and changing the face of manufacturing in the state. Is that your leader? Do you know such a person?  Nominate them today and let them be recognized by their peers.

Environmental Stewardship

(Based on 4 company sizes) 

Environmental stewardship involves using a variety of conservation and sustainable practices to protect the natural world. A company would strive to mediate previous impacts, reduce operational impacts, and work towards a sustainable future. A company that creates manufactured products through economically sound processes that strives to minimize negative impacts while conserving energy and natural resources. Examples might be zero waste facilities or innovative energy applications and or modifications improving the impact on their surroundings.

All nominations must be submitted electronically before 5:00 p.m. MST on October 19th, 2025.

Rising Star Award

(Based on 4 company sizes)

The Rising Star Award celebrates an exceptional young person who is making a remarkable impact in the manufacturing industry early in her career. This award recognizes their dedication, skill, and leadership as she continues to break barriers and redefine what’s possible for the next generation in manufacturing. Their commitment to excellence, innovative thinking, and drive for continuous improvement have set her apart as a true trailblazer.

All nominations must be submitted electronically before 5:00 p.m. MST on October 19th, 2025.

Coolest Thing Made in Utah

(Not given away at the annual awards banquet)

Spread the news anyone and everyone is encouraged to nominate their favorite Made In Utah product. Products nominated can be from any sector of the Manufacturing Industry but must be Made In Utah. The company does not have to be headquartered in Utah. 

Utah Manufacturers Association will review each nomination to ensure these requirements are met. If for any reason, the nomination does not meet these requirements, the nominator will be notified.
