Eligibility & Requirements

Eligibility

  • Any Utah manufacturing or distribution company is eligible to apply for the award. Your company does not have to be a Utah Manufacturers Association (UMA) partner or headquartered in Utah. Self-nominations are strongly encouraged. If you have any questions about company eligibility, please contact Megan Ware at megan@manufacturingutah.com.
  • The award winners will be announced at the Annual Awards Banquet on November 4th, 2023. Representatives from all nominated companies, nominators, and guests will be invited to attend the formal event. 
  • Judges will use information in the application submitted for press releases about the nominees and winners. All financial information submitted in your application will be kept private and confidential. 
  • There is no entry fee required to participate in any of the awards.
  • All submissions must be submitted electronically through the UMA website at www.manufacturingutah.com. Please email the awards coordinator with submission questions or concerns at megan@manufacturingutah.com.

  • All award applications must include detailed information and will be judged for the categories listed below. All awards will be based on the details provided in the application form. To submit your application form, please complete the required questions below and upload any additional information in a PDF or image file type as indicated.
  • Additional upload fields for information and graphics are required for the Utah Manufacturers Association Annual Awards Banquet ceremony design elements. Any photos you would like considered as part of your application should be included within your application PDF. 
  • IMPORTANT: The maximum file size for uploading documents or images is 2 megabytes per file. Acceptable formats are PDF, DOC, DOCX, JPG, JPEG, PNG, and GIF.

Requirements

  • Any Utah manufacturing or distribution company is eligible to apply for the awards. Your company does not have to be a Utah Manufacturers Association (UMA) partner or headquartered in Utah. Self-nominations are strongly encouraged.
  • Judges rank criteria with relevance to each applicant. Judges are in no way influenced by the level of membership or investment status within the association.

Tell Us About Your Company

In 500 words or less, please describe your company in detail and why you believe your company deserves the award.
Describe in detail what you manufacture and how you build it. This section can be used to explain what sets you apart from the other manufacturers. Tell us about your unique process and your distinctive technique in the building process. (In 1000 words or less)
Provide examples of best practices and workplace safety practices to help show the nature and culture of your company. Please attach a copy of your OSHA form 300A. If this is not possible or you would like to add additional information on our safety records, please upload the document you believe will help showcase your safety culture and safety record. Describe the involvement of all levels in your organization as well as your commitment to developing and supporting your workforce. (In 1000 words or less)
Please tell us about any other awards or recognitions your company has received. What does your company do to support your community? Statement, Revenue and Expenses Attach recommended items: graphs, charts, letter from your auditor. (In 1000 words or less)
